Laconic Zero Discography on Handmade

Laconic Zero is a one man music machinery aka. Trond Harald Jensen (Mindy Misty, Turboraketti).
Using commodore 64 programming combined with a heavy wall of distorted bass, Laconic Zero manages to create a musical landscape of old school futurism, experimental gametune metal, progressive and loud.
Laconic zero's live performances are energetic and raw, as well as visual and capturing. Past performances include Acadamy of arts in Oslo and teatergarasjen in Bergen, Monkey Town in N.Y.C. and just about every other small size club venue in Oslo.

Mindy Misty is a fully fledged indie fourpiece from the artic sphere of Oslo/Norway. With musical background from indie/Black Metal/C-64 electronica/and Noise Mindy Misty manages to create a different and hard indiesound. The melodies are often catchy and harmonic though there's a schizophrenic monster lurking in the undertoad exploding in frenzies every now and then. The dark forrests of Norway may have helped shape the melancholy and mystique of these heartsounds. A sorrowful, but thrusting nerve gives their music a capturing intensity and stamina. Media Quote: "Mindy Misty is part of a growing indie/gitarnoise scene in Oslo and they should fit nicely into every twisted musiclover's taste. If you like the fabulous melodic twists and raw indiesound of bands like Pavement, Superchunk, Dinosaur Jr, Crazy Horse, Sebadoh, Modest Mouse, Frank Black and Sonic Youth - I'm pretty sure you will love Mindy Misty". - Rockeweb   Read more

Ever since the double 10" compilation Encephalopathia kicked off with the murky exes (then ocarina lush) strange lo-fi brew called Evil-Lyn's Evil Blues featuring three guitars, a girl singing aaaah and some heavy duty water-glass drumming action, there has been a special something in the air surrounding the Murky Exes. Full synopsis, from genesis to the present, soon.

Star Bug is a genuine Lo-Fi band from Nittedal/Norway. The two original bandmembers Roy Amundsen and Elisabet Storhaug have been been making a strange homebrew of absurd scientist rock since the mid 90's. Rarely do you come across a band with such unique sound. Explosively creative as the band is, they have a song for every occation. As well as participating on both "Encephalopathia" and "From the spheres of gog magog" The band have been signed to Etch Wear since 2000 and released a trioligy of 7" as well as participated on some obscure Etch Wear gems. Star Bug is the band for your party, no matter how tired or drunk you are, you are never gonna fall asleep or bore yourself in anyway if Star Bug is onstage. Handmade Records are very proud to have them on the roster!

Yonakit Discography on handmade

From the old bio: The History of Yonakit so far. Formed in Halden, Norway September 2002. By Lars-Remy, Vegard and Magnus. Originally the band started out with two guitars and drums. Around Christmas time the same year, Yonakit acquired a bass player:Ann-Charlott. The music can be described as "alternative" (the only definition we think could fit our music) Much of the inspiration comes from bands like Sonic Youth, Blonde Redhead etc. But also composers as Nikita Koshkin and contemporary-music generally are a kind of inspiration.(even if it don't sound like it) In the whole, we are not found of comparison. People should hear it and judge for themselves. kinda new-bio: In summer 2004 we changed our bass player to The man Ole luritz who helped us out on a couple of shows. We did also contribute on the compilation "From the spheres of gog magog" with the song Slow Sequenced Damage together with Trumans Water(us), Lukestar and Mindy Misty to mention a few. It was released on Handmade Records And after that Vegard and Magnus moved to Oslo. And we took a break for two years almost. But in late December 2005 Yonakit got together again as an tree-piece and started to making music. And things sound better than ever before!
