With a history of over ten years as a band, Star Bug have been paving the way in the not so crowded genre of ”Scientist Rock”
Since the mid-90’s this prog flavoured Norwegian lo-fi trio have released a 7” vinyl triology on Etch Wear Records, shared stages with Bobby Birdman, Yacht, Lucky Dragons, Epikurs Euforie, Next Life, Mindy Misty+++. and contributed obscure gems to several compilations in Oslo’s underground.
Finally their long awaited debut album is ready “A Scientific Experience”.
In a traditional Star Bug vain “A Scientific Experience” is packed with lyrical surrealism, innovative song structures and unique progressive twists.
This time the record was mastered by “Kramer” (of Butthole Surfers, B.A.L.L+++) improving the sound quality from previous releases without losing the bands trademark lo-fi charm.
