Old School Futurism
Laconic Zero is a one man music machinery aka. Trond Harald Jensen (Mindy Misty, Turboraketti).
Using commodore 64 programming combined with a heavy wall of distorted bass, Laconic Zero manages to create a musical landscape of old school futurism, experimental gametune metal, progressive and loud.
Laconic zero's live performances are energetic and raw, as well as visual and capturing. Past performances include Acadamy of arts in Oslo and teatergarasjen in Bergen, Monkey Town in N.Y.C. and just about every other small size club venue in Oslo.
Handmade Records Proudly present the debut album "Tribeca"
In October 06 Laconic Zero teamed up with the legendary producer "Kramer" from Shimmy Disc and guest guitarist Dag Sølvberg (Murky Exes, HEX Film) to embark upon a recording marathon of 24 tracks in 5 days. Locking themselves inside the walls of Virginia's studio in Manhatten NY. the collaboration soon proved to be very prolific. After laying down all the tracks and even making time for a two set show at Monkey Town (NY) Trond and Dag returned to Oslo as Kramer retrieved to his Noise Miami to finish the mixing and mastering of Tribeca. 19 tracks made it to the final version of the album summing up the sessions definitive core. Tribeca's soundscape is of an intense and complex nature, one where Laconic Zero's hard hitting live sound is brought to justice and applied to recorded format by the wizard works of producer Kramer.
